Milodon Oil Pump Pickups

Milodon Oil Pump Pick-Ups are engineered for maximum flow and long term durability, even in the most extreme applications. All Milodon pick-ups use precision bent, thick wall tubing, of a larger than stock inside diameter, which are heli-arc welded to Milodon's own high flow, compact design pick-up head. All pick-up assemblies then receive Milodon's gold irridite finish.

On Chevy and Pontiac pick-ups, all bungs are machined from solid billet bar stock. This yields a part that will seal perfectly to the pump inlet and have exactly the correct amount of press fit. Between these bar stock bungs and the bolt-on support brackets, there is absolutely no need to weld pick-ups into the pump.

On Chrysler pick-ups that screw-in, 4130 billet bar stock  is machined and then thread rolled, just like Milodon's engine studs, for the ultimate in strength and the special pick-up tubing has a larger inside diameter than even factory "Hemi" pick-up tubes.

Most Ford pick-ups use Milodon's own stamped, 2 bolt flange that is ground on the face after welding to assure straightness and a leak-free mounting.

All Milodon pick-ups feature an exclusive design foot on the pick-up bottom. This assures that in all cases, the engine can never be starved of oil due to insufficient pick-up to pan floor clearance. This can be caused from running over an object, which dents the pan or pan floor flex that is seen only in operation and may otherwise go unnoticed (to all except your bearings). Care must, however, be used so as not to load the pick-up by having it push into the pan floor upon installation. This will most likely result in eventual breakage of the pick-up or cracking of the pan. Each pick-up is engineered to work perfectly in the pan and application it is listed for your assurance of a trouble-free installation.
