Cars with low profile tires will flat spot. Tires are designed to operate in a wide variety of temperatures. Most performance tires are designed to function best at triple digit temperatures. The rubber compounds offer the best performance at these temperatures, though flatspotting is also accelerated. What makes tires work also helps them to flatspot. Parking a hot, soft tire on a cool concrete surface accelerates flatspotting because the contact patch is stressed by the temperature and density differences. Basically the tire must "give" because it is softer and hotter than a concrete floor.

Tire construction is another determining factor for the tendency of a tire to flatspot. Soft compounds and aspect ratios associated with performance tires accelerate flatspotting. An aspect ratio of 50 or less has little sidewall flexion due to the short sidewalls. Thus typically cars with tires that have an aspect ratio of 50 or less will flat spot because pressure is absorbed by the contact patch. Basically the following is a truism: The wider the tire, the greater its tendency to flatspot. Vehicle weight, time parked and ambient temperature all factor in flatspotting your tires. TireCradles are designed to prevent flatspotting on all road going tires by negating the above variables. They keep your tires insulated from the temperatures and pressures that cause flatspotting, regardless of the amount of time a vehicle is parked. Using TireCradles will make sure the tires are round and your automobile is ready to perform.

Benefits:

  • Lifetime Guaranteed
  • Accepts Vehicle Weights Up to 10, 000 lbs.
